AIGA Design Conference
October 8–11, 2009, in Memphis

AIGA Design Conference 2009 is heading for the land of the blues, gospel, jazz, soul and R&B

What is designing today? And how do designers define their own influence within the dichotomy of making versus thinking?

These questions form the basis of this year’s conference, “Make/Think,” which will explore the ways that designers focus both on making beautiful things and thinking about problems strategically, and how those two roles interact. Scores of presentations and breakout sessions will stimulate every attendee across the range of disciplines and interests pursued by today’s designers.

The AIGA Design Conference is a biennial gathering of the design community to celebrate design excellence, reinforce friendships and connections and stimulate thinking about the critical issues that surround design practice.
